Tactics[]
Due to its low number of maximum targets, it's unlikely that the Radiance will destroy itself with this ability. It is most useful for distracting militia when colonizing planets, ensuring you don't take frigate casualties. In large fleet battles, you usually don't want your capital ships to come under attack, and using this ability is not advised. It is best to use this ability along with Energy Absorptive Armor so the danger is decreased.
Another nice way to use this ability is to use it in conjunction with the Rapture Battlecruiser's Vengeance ability which, at level 3, causes 200% of any damage dealt to the Radiance Battleship to also damage the attacker; as several ships will attack the battleship due to this ability, a large amount of damage will be dealt by the Vengeance ability.
This ability is effectively worthless in multiplayer because an enemy player can simply order his units to attack something other than the Radiance.
