Asteroids are lightly defended, and will always have exactly one cobalt and one krosov. Ice and Volcanic planets have medium levels of militia; they will always have at least two Cobalts, one Garda, and one Krosov. They may have additional units and could also have some Javelis LRM. Desert and Terran planets are more heavily defended, and always have at least one of each of the five unit types.

FALLACY. Create a custom map, and then crank a planet group's militia strength to it's maximum. I've seen the militia start to sport turrets at some of the higher levels. --Libelnon 22:20, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

This only occurs on customly made maps, and only then if you turn on the "neutral colonies" feature. I'll edit the article to be more precise about this Darvin3 02:02, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
