Unyielding will is a very fitting description for this ability. The harder you hit it, the harder it fights back.

The drastically reduced ability cooldown combined with the very powerful Chastic Burst transforms the already formidable Eradica Titan into an unrivaled juggernaut of destruction. With the massive increased antimatter regeneration, it becomes an nearly unstoppable angel of death.

Keep in mind that Chastic Burst damages everything except strike craft, corvettes, and planets, and that titans maintain their levels when destroyed - i.e., once an Advent Rebel has a high-level Eradica, they can keep sending it against enemy strongholds that are more or less impermeable to conventional assault and simply rebuild it every time it is destroyed. Against any fleet large enough to destroy a level 6+ Eradica, it is likely Unyielding Will will do much more damage than the replacement cost of the titan.

The titan can also be sent out alone to maraud -- it might not make much headway against well-fortified positions, but it will be a severe enough threat to tie up disproportionate amounts of enemy fleet supply, freeing the rest of your fleet to strike elsewhere. This makes the Eradica a more "aggressive" titan than most, as even a Ragnarov will likely not do as much damage before it is destroyed if it's sent out with light or no support.

Development[]

Up until Patch 1.4 this ability had no effect before the Titans death, making it of limited use. A smart foe would simple do severe damage and then then retreat out of range..... wait for the expendable ships to finish it off and then just sit out of range while it throws its temper tantrum. This is far more difficult now, as the damage reduction and the pre death effects of Unyielding will make it very difficult to kill the Eradica without putting a large part of your fleet into danger.
